Porsche OEM Sport shifter plus 6 speed 986/996 shifter housing assembly….
Very rare short shift kit for 996 (1999-2005), Boxster (1997-2004) and Cayman(2006-2008) models. It reduces shift lever travel by 37%.
These are still sold by Porsche dealers but for fairly ridiculous prices.
The short shifter is installed in my very good condition shifter housing assembly from my 2002 Boxster S, removed with about 50k miles on car.
Everything works well - no slop in the assembly or the bushings.
All you’l need to do for your Boxster/996 is replace this whole assembly, which is about one hour of work, to experience OEM short shifting….
